ABOUT K TUTORING SERVICES

K Tutoring Services, LLC is a teacher -curated Tutoring Service. It was birthed in 2018 by Ms. Kira Williams out of the need to meet the needs of students who are struggling in the classroom and need extra individualized academic support or enrichment. As a teacher, Ms. Williams saw how students were struggling, learning needed to be more engaging, and parents needed help. With these problems, Ms. Williams has innovated many programs and curriculums to engage students, parents, and the community.

Additionally, K Tutoring Services strives to develop critical and independent thinkers who are able to use their academic skills in all areas of their lives. We have an intense yet gentle approach to education that strives to develop a spirit of greatness and perseverance.

Program Information

​

K Tutoring Services Math Program goes from Kindergarten until 8th grade. In this program students focus on number sense, reasoning, and grade level content. Our program uses the CRA research -based method and our own innovative curriculm, Mathematical Movements.  We use students interest and learning styles to make the connection. This program is taught Virtually and in-Person. We have small group and one-on-one tutoring.

K Tutoring Services Writing Program goes from 3rd until 5th grade. This program is ONLY offered Virtually and consist of 3 courses based on the Genres: Narrative, Opinion, and Informational.  Each course is taught using our preferred Writing Curriculm.

K Tutoring Services Reading Program goes from 1st until 6th grade. This program requires a diagnostic assessment and an individualized tutoring plan to determine the need of the scholar. We offer support in phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, fluency, and phonemic awareness. Once we identify the need of the scholar, we construct a specific plan for them and track their progress every 8 weeks. KTS Reading Program is offered primarily in one-on-one settings. ​
